TONGARIRO LODGE, Turangi

Tongariro Lodge provides separate private chalets and villas within 22 acres of grounds. Chalets feature tea/coffee facilities and a flat-screen TV. Villas include kitchens with a dishwasher and microwave. Some villas offer two to four bedrooms, laundry facilities, and lounge/dining areas. The Executive Villa has four bedrooms with ensuites, decks with an outside fireplace, fine art, Maori artifacts, and electric vehicle chargers are available on request.

Tongariro Lodge includes the Riverside Restaurant, specializing in traditional New Zealand dishes. Featured items include roast pork belly, Black Angus fillet steak, and Mount Cook salmon. Tongariro Lodge is situated on the banks of the Tongariro River, near Lake Taupo and Tongariro National Park. The lodge is close to Turangi, 30-minute drive from Mount Ruapehu and Taupo Airport, and 45 km from Taupo. Transfers are available from Taupo, Rotorua, and Auckland airports. The lodge provides a helicopter pad.
